This series attempts to create works in which the actual event has just ended: moments evocative of atmosphere and suspense that are a part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds elsewhere while the build-up of tension is frozen to become the memory of an event or family secret. By taking daily life as subject matter and silently commenting on the everyday aesthetic of middle class values, these photos bring to life hidden secrets and events within the walls of family homes. By manipulating the viewer and image to create confusion, these photos project memory and leave viewers orphaned with a mix of conflicting feelings and thoughts.
